Our Story.
Sparking human connection through creativity.
In a world that is rapidly evolving through technology, AI and constant digital noise, hands-on creativity and human connection are slowly fading from everyday life.
Most of us spend our days typing, tapping, scrolling — but rarely making anything with our own hands anymore, and often doing it alone.
As everything becomes more digital, genuine human connection is also becoming harder to find. We talk through screens, react with emojis and multitask through conversations — yet rarely share real physical presence with one another.
Easel Escape was born from that simple truth:
"We feel most human when we can create — and even more so when we do it side by side."
It started with a belief that people deserve spaces where they can switch off, slow down, use their hands and reconnect with others in real life.
Founded just over two years ago, what began as a small idea has grown into a vibrant, welcoming community stretching across the UK, Ireland and Portugal.
Our painting experiences have evolved into vibrant, creative gatherings where people of all ages, abilities and backgrounds come together to express themselves, meet others and feel part of something bigger than a single canvas.

How Easel Escape was Born.
Sparking human connection through creativity.
Like most good things, Easel Escape was born during a late-night conversation after a glass (or 3) of wine - "If you could do anything, what would you do?”
For our founder, the answer had always been there. From a young age, she dreamed of creating a space centred around art — not to teach it, but to share it. A space where creativity felt accessible, pressure-free, and open to everyone. Where art wasn’t about talent or perfection, but about expression, connection, and a little bit of therapy along the way.
That conversation sparked a decision she couldn’t ignore. Shortly after, she stepped away from her conventional career and put everything into building something meaningful — a place where people could show up exactly as they are, pick up a paintbrush, and surprise themselves.
Fast forward to today, Easel Escape has grown across three countries, welcomed over 2,000 participants, and sparked countless friendships, conversations, and moments of confidence around the canvas.
Easel Escape is living proof that you get one life — and when you take the leap, trust yourself, and follow what truly lights you up, the most unexpected and beautiful things can happen.
